Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account info: the email address and password you sign up with.
• Profile info: your display name, and an avatar (either an emoji you choose or a photo you upload).
• Payment handle (optional): a Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle handle you choose to enter, shown only to the pool's commissioner so they know how to pay you.
• Pool activity: the picks and confidence points you submit each week, and any tiebreaker guesses — this is core to how the game works and is visible to other players in the pool once that week's games lock.
• Notification preferences: whether you want email reminders/recaps and browser push notifications, plus a push registration token if you turn push on.
• Basic usage data: standard app-usage analytics (e.g. screens viewed) collected automatically via Firebase/Google Analytics.

How we use it

Your information is used only to run the pool: authenticating you, saving and scoring your picks, computing standings, showing the commissioner who's owed money and how to pay them, and sending the reminder/recap emails and push notifications you've opted into. Week and season recaps are also summarized into a short AI-generated podcast — that process sends aggregate stats and matchup summaries, not your personal account information, to our text-to-speech provider.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. Your display name, avatar, and picks are visible to other members of your private pool, the same way they would be in a shared spreadsheet or group chat. Behind the scenes, the app relies on these service providers to operate:

• Firebase/Google — authentication, database, file storage, and hosting for the app's backend, plus basic usage analytics.
• Resend — delivers the reminder and recap emails.
• OpenAI — generates the audio for weekly podcast recaps from aggregate stats, not personal account data.
• Vercel — hosts the web app.

Game data (teams, scores, spreads) is pulled from ESPN's public scoreboard and from CollegeFootballData.com — no personal information is sent to either of these.

Your choices

You can update your profile, turn email or push notifications on or off, or change your payment handle anytime from Profile & settings. You can permanently delete your account — login and profile — from that same page.

Children

This app is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
